For some reason, I quite like this song. Much more than Jude Law and A Semester Abroad, at least.

Wrong answer, Jude Law and A Semester Abroad is way better than Sudden Death in Carolina.. Also, Magazines is the best song on the album, in my opinion.

That reminds me of the mid 1990s. Not in a good way.

I only have The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, but this seems much shallower. Reminds me of Blink 182. Is it old?

2001, IIRC.

This is from their first album. The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is their third.

Jude Law and A Semester Abroad is more iconic and angsty, but Sudden Death in Carolina is more versatile. I could never really get into Magazines, but I feel that Seventy Times 7 is the most important song on the album.

Aw hell. It’s good.
It’s just that mid 90s fake Euro accent sound that drives me nuts.

Sort of that crappy 90s faux-falsetto that made the rounds. It’s still way better than the version that Adam Lazzara pulls.

Unpopular opinion: The Archer’s Bows Have Broken is Brand New’s best song

It’s a damn good song, and it’s certainly up there. I’ll have to listen to it more.

I’d call that old. In some ways anyway.

I really like that whole album and have a hard time picking a favorite from it. However: DE FTW!

Underappreciated album, to be sure.
